Big Darby Headwaters Stream & Wetland Restoration project restored over 7,000 LF of EWH stream in Logan County and created numerous pocket or floodplain wetlands within the 180-foot wide newly excavated floodplain.
Mac-o-chee Creek Stream Restoration project relocated 1,360 LF of this CWH stream to its historic location through an adjacent agricultural field. Biological sampling conducted in 2011, showed a recovered QHEI score of 83.5 as well as increases in fish populations within the restored reach. IBI scores range from 41-42, ICI 54-56.
Furnace Run Floodplain Stabilization project stabilized 700 LF of highly eroded floodplain bank upstream of the historic Everett Road Covered Bridge in Summit County with a rock toe supplemented with root wads.
Scioto River Bank Stabilization in Chillicothe stabilized 1,000 LF of river bank by constructed a rock toe infilled with native cobble to protect a business.
East Brach Chagrin River Stream Restoration project reincorporated substrate piles accumulated from years of dredging to naturalize over 4,440 LF of EWH stream.
Stream restoration and stabilization at the Ravines of Windemere was needed in a confined space between condominium buildings. Natural materials and small tracked equipment made restoration practical and aesthetically pleasing.
