Oxbow River and Stream Restoration, Inc. applied natural channel design principles to create a multi-stage channel by raising the channel up and reconnecting the floodplain.


The project met the clients' goals by restoring this previously channelized stream reach and developing a stable, yet attractive, channel that transports sediment and reduces flooding. Site constraints included protecting bridge piers and a parallel sewer line and crossing.
