May thru August:
Mac-O-Chee Creek habitat restoration in West Mansfield, Logan County, Ohio. Relocation of 2000 linear feet of Mac-O-Chee Creek to enhance habitat and restore channel features and floodplain. Coldwater stream expected to meet EWH.
August:
Upper Clover Groff channel restoration in Hilliard Ohio. County Ditch not meeting water quality standards (Modified WWH status). Channel and floodplain restoration of 2600 linear feet.
September:
Pond Brook and associated tributaries in Summit County, Ohio. Continuation of 2007 work to include 2500 linear feet of tributary and over 6000 feet of main channel.
Big Darby Creek Watershed Restoration Projects
- Upper Clover Groff in Hilliard, Ohio: 319 funded, City of Hilliard
- Middle Clover Groff: Awarded in April, City of Columbus, 6500 linear feet
- Hellbranch: Franklin County Metro Parks, 2 sites
- Upper Darby Headwater: Awarded in 2007. The Nature Conservancty, over 6000 linear feet
Stategic Planning and "Teaming"
RFQ sent out to 8 firms: Looking for strategic partnerships with super qualified firms to perform biological monitoring (both pre and post restoration), wetland delineation and restoration services, planting, growing, and invasive management services. Multi-year agreement for current contracts with Oxbow worth more than 2 million dollars.
